Eurasian Friendship Express 2015
On 30 July 2015, the "Eurasian Friendship Express 2015" having departed from Vladivostok Railway Station on 15 July under the slogan "One Dream, One Eurasia" arrived at the Berlin Central railway station, ist final destination. A delegation of 200 citizens of the Republic of Korea made their journey within 15 days from Vladivostok along the Trans-Siberian Railway and then via Moscow, Minsk, Brest and Warsaw to Berlin.

Operation of KZD new high-speed lines commissioned (according to www.china-railway.com.cn)
High-speed line Harbin — Chichikar
On 17 August 2015, the train numbered as D7989 departed from the Harbin station, which marks the official start of operation of the highspeed line Harbin - Chichikar. The line runs across the northernmost and coldest regions of China.
The construction of this high-speed line began in 2009, and already in May 2015, trimming operations and tests were commenced. Two months later, a trial run was performed. The total length of the line along which 8 stations are available amounts to 279 km. With the operation of this high-speed line that started, the time of travelling between the cities of Harbin and Chichikar reduced from three hours to one hour and a half (to 85 minutes).

The presentation of a Train Control Centre was held on 7 April 2015 at JSC Georgian Railway. Mamuka Bakhtadze, General Director of JSC Georgian Railway and Aleksi Nikolaishvili, Director of the Freight Transport Branch cut the ribbon in a celebratory atmosphere and congratulated the staff of the Centre on the start of the work in a renewed environment.

Construction of the Second Rail Track on Skrlveri - Krustpils Line of Latvian Railway Completed (According to Latvijas dzelzcels SJSC as of 4th February, 2015)
On 4th February, 2015 the Latvian Railway (Latvijas dzelzcels, LDZ) opened the second rail track on the SkrTveri - Krutpils line section within the largest project to date, worth more than 100 million euros, which will enable a considerable increase in throughput capacity, traffic speed and safety in the direction from Krustpils to Riga.

Freight Traffic
The working results of the OSJD Commission on Freight Traffic (further on referred to as a Commission) were discussed during the Commission’s annual meeting held in the period from 7 till 10 October 2014 in the OSJD Committee’s premises in Warsaw. The meeting was attended by the representatives of OSJD railways: Azerbaijan, Bulgaria, Hungary, Vietnam, Georgia, Iran, Kazakhstan, China, DPRK, Kyrgyzstan, Latvia, Lithuania, Moldova, Mongolia, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, Czech Republic, as well as Ministry of Transport of the Czech Republic; Deutsche Bahn AG - OSJD observer; OSJD affiliated enterprises - South Caucasus Railway CJSC, Rail Cargo Hungaria CJSC, KоRail, Freightliner Group LLC, CTL Logistics JSC, CTM LLC, TransContainer JSC and OLTIS Group JSC; UIC and OSJD Committee.
