LIII session of the OSJD Ministerial Conference (press-release)
On 9 June 2026, LIII session of the OSJD Ministerial Conference began in Dushanbe, the capital of the Republic of Tajikistan, and will continue till 12 June. The session is attended by the members of the OSJD Ministerial Conference from the following countries:
Republic of Azerbaijan,
Republic of Belarus,
Republic of Bulgaria,
Socialist Republic of Vietnam,
Georgia,
Islamic Republic of Iran,
Republic of Kazakhstan,
People’s Republic of China,
Democratic People’s Republic of Korea,
Republic of Korea,
Kyrgyz Republic,
Lao People’s Democratic Republic,
Mongolia,
Republic of Poland,
Russian Federation,
Slovak Republic,
Republic of Tajikistan,
Turkmenistan,
Republic of Uzbekistan,
Ukraine,
Czech Republic,
as well as representatives of the International Coordinating Council on Trans-Eurasian Transportation (CCTT) and the OSJD Committee.
Opening the session of authorised representatives, the First Deputy Head of the State Unitary Enterprise “Rohi Ohani Tojikiston” Sorbon Abdulaziz Gulakhmazoda, welcomed all delegations on behalf of the Enterprise’s management and staff and noted the great honour and significance of holding the LIII Session of the OSJD Ministerial Conference in the Republic of Tajikistan in the year marking the 70th anniversary of the Organization’s establishment. He also particularly emphasised the importance of continuing work within the OSJD to develop cooperation among all OSJD member railways, especially in light of the constantly changing global economic, transport and logistics situation.
Mirosław Antonowicz, Chairman of the OSJD Committee, welcomed all the delegations that arrived to Dushanbe to take part in the OSJD Ministerial Conference the on-site format, wished them fruitful and constructive work, and briefly informed participants about all of OSJD’s current lines of activity, as well as the development of international railway transport in the OSJD space.
The agenda for the session includes consideration and approval of:
- Report on OSJD activities for 2025;
- Report of the OSJD Auditing Commission for 2025;
- results of work for 2025 of the OSJD Commission on Transport Policy and Development Strategy and the OSJD Commission on Transport Law;
- work progress of the Ad Hoc Working Group on vocational education/training in the field of railway traffic for the period from March 2025 to March 2026;
- OSJD Work Programme for 2027 and subsequent years;
- OSJD Committee Budget (final – for 2026, preliminary – for 2027);
- OSJD Committee place of residence;
- composition and rotation procedure for members of the OSJD Auditing Commission;
- draft provisional agenda, venue and date of the LIV session of the OSJD Ministerial Conference
