Meeting of the representatives of the Parties to the Agreement on the Uniform Transit Tariff (ETT)
From 13 till 16 May 2025, a meeting of the representatives of the Parties to the Agreement on a Uniform Transit Tariff (ETT) on the subject “Improving the Agreement on the Uniform Transit Tariff (ETT) and updating the ETT Tariff” was successfully held in Almaty (Republic of Kazakhstan), which was attended by the representatives of the Parties to the ETT Agreement as follows: Azerbaijani Railways CJSC (AZD), State Association “Byelorussian Railway” (BC), Vietnamese Railway State Company (VZD), Georgian Railway JSC (GR), “Kazakhstan Temir Zholy National Company” JSC (KZH), China State Railway Group Co., Ltd. (KZD), Railways of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (ZC), Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL), “Kyrgyz Temir Zholu National Company” State Enterprise (KRG), Latvian Railway – Latvijas dzelzceļš SJSC (LZD), Railway of Moldova State Enterprise (CFM), Ulan-Bator Railway JSC (UBZD), Ministry of Transport of the Russian Federation (Mintrans of Russia), SUE “Rohi Ohani Tojikiston” (TDZ), Turkmenistan Railways – Agency “Turkmendemiryollary” (TRK), O’zbekiston temir yo’llari JSC (UTI), Ministry for Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine and Estonian Railway JSC (EVR), as well as from OSJD affiliated enterprises – “UTLC ERA” JSC, PLASKE JSC, CTM LLC and “TransContainer” PJSC; Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC) and the OSJD Committee.
Salamat Abzhaliev, Deputy Director General for Marketing and Planning at KTZ-Freight Transportation Limited Liability Company, opened the meeting and welcomed its participants, noting the particular significance and importance of the issues discussed at the meeting on the subject “Improving the Agreement on a Uniform Transit Tariff (ETT) and updating the ETT” with the aim of increasing the competitiveness of railway freight traffic in the Eurasian space and the efficient use of railway transport.
The meeting was chaired by Zubaida Aspayeva, Chairperson of the OSJD Commission on Freight Traffic.
The meeting participants considered the proposals received from the Parties to the ETT Agreement and the OSJD Committee, as the depositary of the ETT Agreement, aimed at improving the ETT Agreement and updating the ETT Tariff, and agreed to introduce amendments and additions to the ETT Agreement and the ETT Tariff, specifying the dates of their entry into force.
The final document was the Minutes of the meeting, signed by the meeting participants – the Parties to the ETT Agreement.
