LII session of the OSJD Ministerial Conference

LII session of the OSJD Ministerial Conference began in Qingdao (People’s Republic of China) and will continue from 10 till 13 June 2025. The session is attended by the members of the OSJD Ministerial Conference from the following countries: Republic of Azerbaijan, Republic of Belarus, Republic of Bulgaria, Hungary, Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Georgia, Republic of Kazakhstan, People’s Republic of China, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Republic of Korea, Kyrgyz Republic, Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Republic of Moldova, Mongolia, Republic of Poland, Russian Federation, Slovak Republic, Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Republic of Uzbekistan, Ukraine, as well as representatives of CCTT and the OSJD Committee.

Opening the session, Mirosław Antonowicz, Chairman of the OSJD Committee, welcomed all the delegations that arrived to Qingdao to take part in the OSJD Ministerial Conference the on-site format, wished them fruitful and constructive work and thanked the Chinese side for the excellent preparation of the event and for their hospitality.

The agenda for the session includes consideration and approval of:

- Report on OSJD activities for 2024;

- Report of the OSJD Auditing Commission for 2024;

- results of work for 2024 of the OSJD Commission on Transport Policy and Development Strategy and the OSJD Commission on Transport Law;

- work progress of the Ad Hoc Working Group on vocational education/training in the field of railway traffic;

- OSJD Work Programme for 2026 and subsequent years;

- issue of the initiative of OSJD member countries to strengthen cooperation;

- OSJD Committee Budget (final – for 2025, preliminary – for 2026);

- OSJD Committee place of residence;

- post distribution in the management board of the OSJD Committee, chairmen/chairpersons and specialists in the OSJD working bodies, as well as the appointment of the OSJD Committee management board;

- establishing the sequence of sessions of the OSJD Ministerial Conference;

- draft provisional agenda, venue and date of the LIII session of the OSJD Ministerial Conference.

On the sidelines of the Ministerial Conference, an exhibition of products, technologies and projects being implemented by leading Chinese companies in the field of railway transport was organised, including China Railway Rolling Stock Corporation (CRRC), China Railway Engineering Corporation (CREC), China Communications and Construction Corporation (CCCC), China Railway Construction Corporation (CRCC), China Railway Signalling & Communications Corporation (CRSC), Lanzhou Jiaotong University (LZJTU) and other.
