Working meeting at the OSJD Committee with a delegation from the National Railway Administration of the People’s Republic of China (press-release)
On 1 July 2026, a delegation from the National Railway Administration of the People’s Republic of China, led by Deputy Director Wang Qiming, paid a working visit to the OSJD Committee.
The OSJD Committee delegation was headed by Chairman Mirosław Antonowicz, who welcomed the guests and briefly outlined the outcomes of the key OSJD events held this year – 2026 – which marks the 70th anniversary of the OSJD’s foundation – 40th anniversary meeting of the Conference of General Directors (Authorised Representatives) of OSJD Railways (20-24 April 2026, Astana, Republic of Kazakhstan) and the 53rd session of the OSJD Ministerial Conference (9-12 June, Dushanbe, Republic of Tajikistan).
The parties discussed the current issues related to cooperation within the OSJD, including participation in the activities of the OSJD’s working bodies, the successful organisation of the 52nd session of the OSJD Ministerial Conference in Qingdao (People’s Republic of China), and the prospects for further development of ongoing projects within the OSJD and the exchange of experience. Particular attention was paid to the work of the Chinese representatives as staff members at the OSJD Committee and their rotation.
Mirosław Antonowicz also welcomed Pan Fudi, Deputy Chairman of the OSJD Committee, who had arrived to take over as the OSJD Committee member from the People’s Republic of China, and thanked Sui Ruizheng, who had held the post since 2023, for his fruitful work.
Mikhail Vsevolozhskiy, Deputy Chairman of the OSJD Committee, also welcomed the delegation from the National Railway Administration of the People’s Republic of China, noting the great importance of the PRC’s participation in the Organisation’s activities for the development of international railway transport in the Eurasian space.
Wang Qiming also held a working meeting with the personnel of the OSJD Committee seconded from the People’s Republic of China, at which he introduced three new Chinese staff members who had arrived to replace their colleagues as part of the scheduled staff rotation.
