On 11 September 2026, at the invitation of OSJD Committee Chairman Mr. Mirosław Antonowicz, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to the Republic of Poland, HE Lu Shan, paid a working visit to the OSJD Committee.

Opening the meeting, Mirosław Antonowicz noted that this year marks the 70^th anniversary of OSJD, and that the People's Republic of China was one of its founders in 1956. He also briefed HE Lu Shan on the OSJD’s current activities and the outcomes of the 40^th anniversary meeting of the Conference of General Directors (Authorized Representatives) of OSJD Railways and the 53^rd session of the OSJD Ministerial Conference, both held earlier this year. Mirosław Antonowicz noted that the People's Republic of China has actively participated in OSJD’s activities for many years and has been playing a significant role within the Organisation. He emphasized that China's achievements in railway transport development are impressive – this fact the OSJD representatives witnessed firsthand during the 52^nd session of the OSJD Ministerial Conference, held in Qingdao in June 2025, and in the course of other events held in China this year. Mirosław Antonowicz highly commended the contributions made to the OSJD’s activities by the current and former Deputy Chairmen of the OSJD Committee representing China, as well as by all Chinese staff members of the Organisation.

HE Lu Shan thanked the OSJD Committee Chairman for the invitation and congratulated OSJD on its 70^th anniversary. He noted that over its 70-year history, OSJD has played an indispensable role in the development of railway transportation between Europe and Asia, as well as in the global development of railway transport. The Chinese Party attaches great importance to the OSJD activities and supports its works; it will continue to support the OSJD development and actively encourage and endorse Chinese enterprises, research institutes, and other organisations in their efforts to contribute to the OSJD's development.

Deputy Chairman Pan Fudi and other staff members participated in the meeting from the OSJD Committee side.

Mr. Lu Shan also met with the Chinese staff members working at the OSJD Committee.
