In accordance with the Work Plan of the OSJD Commission on Transport Policy and Development Strategy, on 29-30 January, the first consultative meeting in 2024 of the countries participating in the OSJD Railway Transport Corridor (RTC) No. 1 was held with the participation of the representatives of the countries participating in the OSJD RTC No. 1 from the Republic of Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, People’s Republic of China, Mongolia, Russian Federation, Republic of Uzbekistan and Republic of Estonia, as well as the OSJD Committee. Moreover, representatives of the Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) participated as observers.

The approved agenda included the following items:

- consideration of the completed tables “Unified form of exchange of information for identifying physical and non-physical barriers in the organisation of international transportation of the OSJD RTC No. 1”;

- exchange of data on traffic volumes for 2023 by quarters;

- exchange of information on the Matrix of implementation of measures for digitalisation of freight traffic;

- exchange of information between concerned participating countries on the organisation and implementation of transportation, including container traffic, taking into account the existing OSJD legal and regulatory framework;

- consideration of proposals for the development of the OSJD railway transport corridor No. 1.

In addition, the meeting addressed the participating countries of the OSJD RTC No. 1 to submit information about the bottlenecks of the corridor (physical and non-physical barriers) to the OSJD Committee in order to discuss these issues at the next consultative meeting on 28-29 May 2024.
