In the northeastern China was opened a new High-Speed Line (HSL) (according to information of the “Zheleznye dorogi mira” Journal)
A new 107 km high-speed line was officially opened in northeastern China on 3 August 2021, linking Chaoyang and Linghai in Liaoning province.
The trains will operate at 300km/h in the first stage, to achieve afterwards the 350km/h.
The new line connects the high-speed line with a regular line running from Beijing to Harbin.
Initially, the line between Chaoyang and Linghainan will be served by 11 pair of trains. Journey time between Beijing and Dalian will be reduced by 50 minutes to 4 hours and between Beijing and Jinzhou by 35 minutes to 2 hours 17 minuts.
Completion of the construction of the new HSL allowed to connect two other parallel running lines - the recently completed 350km/h Beijing – Shenyang high-speed line and the 250km/h line serving Qinhuangdao, Shanhaiguan and Huludao.
New sophisticated technologies were implemented in the construction of the HSL. It contributed to the security and comfort of passengers. Due to the cold winters in Liaoning province and the significant temperature difference between night and day was the waterproof protection of bridges on the route improved based on the experience gained from the construction oft HSL Harbin and Dalian.
