The most important tasks of the journal are as follows: summing up scientific and practical results in the main areas of training qualified personnel, as well as engineering and technical staff of railway and road transport, coverage of a wide range of issues that arise at the intersections of continuing professional education organisation.

The scientific concept of the journal involves the publication of modern achievements in the following sections: organisation of vocational education and retraining of personnel for transport, foreign experience in training personnel for transport, innovative technologies in transport, transport-logistics and transport-technological systems, maintenance and repair, traffic support systems, technosphere safety and resource-saving technologies in transport.

An agreement on the procedure and conditions for the release of the new journal was signed within the framework of the Transport of Russia Exhibition in Moscow on 21 November 2019.
