Coordination of the volumes of the goods carried in international traffic by rail
In accordance with the Work Plan of the OSJD Commission on Freight Traffic for 2022 under the subject “Coordination of the volumes of the goods carried in international traffic by rail”, in the period of 14-18 March 2022 (OSJD Committee, Warsaw), the meeting was held in a videoconferencing mode of the representatives from the railways and foreign trade organisations of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Republic of Kazakhstan, People’s Republic of China, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Mongolia, Russian Federation and Republic of Uzbekistan for the coordination of the volumes of export, import and transit goods carried by railway transport for 2022.

The millionth container crossed Russia on its way from China to Europe
The millionth, in terms of TEU, container was dispatched from Chongqing’s Tuanjiecun station to Helsinki’s Vuosaari station under the regular container transit service provided by the UTLC ERA JSC, an OSJD affiliated enterprise.

The first direct container train from China to Kaliningrad (according to the information of RTSB-RUS as of 27 December 2021)
The RTSB-RUS logistics company, together with the Novik Group of Companies and Maersk, organised the transportation of the first container train from the Chinese city of Zhengzhou to Kaliningrad along the land route through the border crossing of Zamyn-Uud – Erlian. Previously, only transit trains to the European countries ran through Kaliningrad, and only single containers with imported goods were delivered here directly.
